N’Golo Kante is close to signing a new contract, reports Matt Law from The Telegraph.
Kante took part in the warm up of Chelsea’s training today but Is not yet a part of first team full training.
The legendary midfielder is expected to be back playing for Chelsea in March and is close to a return to full training.
It is not yet clear how much N’Golo’s new contract will be worth but a pay cut could happen considering he has not featured in months, is 31 years old and is currently thought to be on £290,000+ a week.
Chelsea fans will be hoping Kante’s operation on his hamstring will allow him to be more fit and play regular games.
The club also recently employed a specialist doctor for hamstrings, which have been the brunt of Kante’s issues over the last few years. At his best, N’Golo is undoubtedly the best midfielder in the world.
