But they haven’t finished yet, with the summer window expecting to be another busy one for the club.

According to Ben Jacobs of Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, the club are prepared to continue their big spending.

Jacobs penned his latest extensive and exclusive article for the site this week, and Chelsea’s summer plans was a small thing he covered.

But the big spending has to come on one condition, that they make numerous outgoing sales too.

“Chelsea are prepared to continue their big spending, but the summer will also be about outgoings,” Jacobs said. “Selling will help create a smaller-sized squad. Plus, under FFP, any fee can be declared as annual profit (minus remaining any amortisation if applicable).

“Chelsea will be looking for at least one central midfielder, a striker and potentially a goalkeeper. I think those will be the big three areas.”
