Chelsea send cheeky dig at Arsenal during departure announcement

Chelsea sent a cheeky dig at Arsenal on their departure announcement for Jorginho.

Jorginho, who was the vice captain of Chelsea, departed for Arsenal on deadline day after the two London rivals agreed on a fee of 10 million pounds plus 2 million pounds of potential additional add ons should Arsenal win the Premier League or Champions League this season.

Chelsea stated: “many of Jorginho’s best performances came in European competition,” “he starred in Baku at the end of his first season when we thumped Arsenal 4-1.”

I have to say this is quite funny, I am all up for a bit of harmless banter and this statement would have helped fans reminisce that beautiful night in Baku when Eden Hazard dropped a masterclass en route to victory.

Jorginho will be missed by fans who appreciate the role he played and understood it most of all and it is no surprise to see another top manager in Mikel Arteta rating him highly.
