Hull City are close to a deal to sign Xavier Simons, the Chelsea midfielder currently on loan with the Tigers.
The youngster has only just started making his breakthrough in the Championship, and is starting to pick up some first team minutes, but clearly manager Liam Rosenior has seen enough and wants to make sure the youngster’s long term future is at the MKM Stadium.
Fabrizio Romaon says last details are being “ironed out” to make a deal which almost happened in January.
Simons was always considered a real talent in the Chelsea academy, where he was a regular through the youth sides as a midfield playmaker.

A lack of first team minutes at Stamford Bridge has meant a departure was always likely, and Simon’s contract is out at the end of this season. Chelsea have the chance to extend it by a year, which of course will factor into decisions about the transfer fee.
