Chelsea are in for a thriller tomorrow night, whatever the result.
This is our first competitive game EVER against Dortmund, and it means a first chance to head to their legendary Signal Iduna Park stadium. This isn’t the same quality of side that Jurgen Klopp was managing ten years ago, but at home they’re still a ferocious opposition, and Graham Potter knows it.
He said his team “understand the challenge” of playing in front of 80,000 people, and it will be another great test for them after they thrived in the group stage against Milan.
Whatever the result this will all be part of the process of building this team and getting them more experienced at the top level. Given how much has been spent on our squad, we should have no issues taking down the German side, who are third in the Bundesliga.
Let’s hope it’s a thrilling game to boot.
