Chelsea winger could make early return from injury

Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic has been out on the grass at Cobham according to Nizaar Kinsella.

Just one month ago, head coach Graham Potter stated that Pulisic was expected to be out for two whole months, however just one of those months in, Pulisic is already out on the grass and hopes to make his return sooner than the initial diagnosis time.

Christian is not in team training and it remains unclear how long he will be doing recovery work on the grass before he can enter into the team training but it is good to see that he is seemingly ahead of schedule as things stand.

The American winger has not held down a starting spot under Potter and there were suggestions he could have been sold in the January transfer window should he have not been injured.

Despite this, Christian does possess a lot of quality especially in the dribbling department, he is a useful squad player to have and shows flashes of brilliance often for the club.

  1. Gotta appreciate Pys for making the effort to give Pulisic his due (i.e., noting his qualities). SuperFrank has made it such a habit to bash Pulisic at every turn that it comes as a breath of fresh air for someone at Chelsea News to acknowledge that, even if with some exciting new additions, Pulisic remains one of only a handful of guys in the squad who can dribble at defenders and (on his day) create real havoc for the opponent. It’s a shame his time at Chelsea has been so marred by injury (and that two consecutive managers were so reluctant to place faith in him), as I think we’ve yet to see the best of him at club level.

  2. No question US players are bashed by media in UK, Spain and France. They are never shown patience by managers, especially in England. Pulisic has a much higher goals/minute played than Mount (assists as well). But Mount is the England golden boy and gets minutes over any non-England player. Mount is selfish and rarely passes the ball in the attacking 3rd.
