Chelsea’s name linked with ‘highly sought-after’ goalkeeper for the summer

Attentions are already turning towards the summer for Chelsea after a big January transfer window.

The club have worked hard on rebuilding the squad over the last two transfer windows, and there won’t be too much left to do now in terms of additions. The big work next is going to largely be the number of outgoings they will need to work through to reduce a bloated squad. But there will still be more arrivals coming in through the door as well.

Sources: Three strikers on Chelsea’s radar for the summer!

One area they might look at is the goalkeeper position, with doubts now surrounding the future of Edouard Mendy, after he lost his regular number one spot to Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Kepa’s performances have been good lately, but even his future isn’t entirely certain right now. Chelsea look likely to be in the market for a new stopper come the summer, and reporter Ben Jacobs has linked them with Everton’s Jordon Pickford.

Jacobs, speaking to Give Me Sport, said: “He [Jordan Pickford] is likely to be a highly sought-after name, especially if Everton were to go down.

“Tottenham are very interested, but Chelsea could be there as well.”
