Joao Felix was Chelsea best rated player on his return to action on Saturday, picking up a 7.8 rating on the WhoScored website in a game where he scored his first Chelsea goal and created most of our best attacks.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Reece James and Enzo Fernandez also scored well.
The two disappointments were Mykhailo Mudryk and Kai Havertz, who only picked up 6.3 each. That seems a fair reflection of their disappointing contributions in attack. A little bit more sharpness from either and we would have walked away with 3 points.
Playing on the right wing Noni Madueke got a 7, which seems a fair way to split the difference. He created more threat than Mudryk on the opposite side, but ultimately wasn’t able to turn that threat into goals as Felix was.
There’s certainly a feeling that when we find the way to get Kai Havertz shooting on goal, we will have an attacking team on our hands.
