Christian Pulisic set to leave Chelsea with a whimper after spell which never got going

Christian Pulisic has started 6 league games for Chelsea this season, and is currently out injured.

He’s not expected back for some time, and it’s hard to see him beating even his meagre total of 13 league starts from last season at this rate.

By the time he’s back and fit there will likely be fewer than 10 games left in the season, and as it stands he’s competing with Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke, Hakim Ziyech and Mykhailo Mudryk is the race for minutes.

After 19 league starts in his first season at the club, Pulisic got 18 in the following season before the drop to 13 last year.

Getting 10 or so this year will be a new low. It’s no wonder he wants out – and the club are willing to let him go.

It’s not just his spell at Chelsea’s where he’s struggled – he’s only one in his career made more than 20 league starts in a season.

  1. I sometimes have to question whether “SuperFrank” is actually a Chelsea supporter given how hard he trolls his own players half the time. Kicking Pulisic when he’s down is just the latest low. And deriding him for not making more than 20 starts during the years he was a teenager at Dortmund (and starting for them in the Champions League!) is just pathetic. This guy has never done anything but play for the badge in his time at Chelsea and he deserves better. Get a life, mate.

  2. Lamentablemente cada vez que parece despuntar es cuando surge una lesión y eso es ya un circulo constante, creo que ya cumplió su tiempo en chelsea..
