Crazy Real Madrid stat shows just how silly Chelsea’s scoring problems are

This week’s most thrilling game without doubt was Real Madrid against Liverpool in the Champions League.

Anfield was in full voice as Jurgen Klopp’s team scored twice early to take control of the tie, but it didn’t last long. Calm Carlo Ancelotti marshalled his men and they had soon started scoring themselves.

Before long they had turned it around – and then some, finishing the game as 5-2 winner.

The thrilling game led to a strange conclusion however – the 5 goals that Madrid ended up scoring in the 90 minutes at Anfield are actually more than Chelsea have scored since the turn of the year in total (4).

It was quite the experience for Chelsea fans, who have watched two consecutive games where their team simply couldn’t put the ball in the net despite raining in shots, to see a match where the ball just flew in time and again for Real with no problem.
