Graham Potter has just been speaking to Chelsea’s media outlets about his team selection today, and his most interesting comments were about the selection of January signing David Datro Fofana up front.
Potter is basically resting his favoured choice Kai Havertz. But he also noted DDF could bring something new.
“David has been training well. He’s a young forward who we think can add something for us in the box.”
Now what he means by “something in the box,” if you haven’t been watching our recent games, if GOALS!

This team has a few problems, but they all pale into significance compared to the simple fact we can’t get the ball in the net. We’ve tried all manner of solutions, and now it falls to Fofana to prove
If he does well, there’s nothing stopping him establishing himself as our number 9 for the rest of this season, and maybe beyond. If he can just force the sphere over the line, he will be contributing more than most of his alternatives have.
