PSG’s appeal over the late registration of Hakim Ziyech has been rejected by the LFP, and the he remains a Chelsea player.
The winger has been keen on a move for some time, and the arrival of a host of new attacking players has only pushed him down the pecking order further. He wanted out, and when PSG came knocking it seemed a great move for all parties.
🚨 Confirmed: PSG have lost their LFP appeal. Hakim Ziyech's loan move to PSG is officially off. Chances of success at the appeal were always deemed low. Ziyech was not registered on time last night. https://t.co/iOJBtBD8Fg

But with the Enzo Fernandez deal clearly taking up all our resources, the Ziyech deal dragged on and couldn’t be finished before the 11pm cutoff. PSG appealed that the circumstances were beyond their control, but clearly the league didn’t agree.
Nizaar Kinsella’s report on the affair claims that the Parisians are furious at Chelsea, who apparently sent the wrong document three times.
LFP, the French governing body, have not approved Hakim Ziyech's loan to PSG.
Chelsea are accused of sending the same wrong document three times, by a furious PSG. It led to the transfer collapse.
They were clearly very busy with Enzo Fernandez instead.

Clearly the new ownership haven’t quite got the hang of everything just yet…
It creates an awkward situation for Graham Potter, with an even unhappier Ziyech now back at the club until the summer at least.
