“I’ve always longed to play in the Premier League” – Enzo Fernandez on his PL dreams

Enzo Fernandez is the biggest transfer in UK football history, so you can forgive Chelsea for still milking his arrival almost a month after it happened.

They’ve had a two part special on the club website, a long interview with the midfielder talking about the journey of his career so far.

It’s been a whirlwind ride – from his first minutes in the Argentine league on loan, to winning the division with River Plate, to a super 6 months at Benfica and a World Cup win.

It was all leading to one thing – his move to Chelsea and the Premier League, something he admits he’s always dreamed of.

“I’ve always longed to play in the Premier League. Chelsea FC has given me the opportunity to play here, and I feel grateful for their trust. I love everything about the club, I’m so happy with my team-mates and technical staff,” the midfielder explained.

Honestly, ever since I landed here I felt at home. I’ll always try to give it my all along with my team-mates to achieve the greatest things for Chelsea.”

It’s been a rough start for him so far, but we’re confident he’s going to be a star for us for years to come once the team gets into gear.
