Chelsea fans are already excited about having Joao Felix at the club beyond the expiry of his loan in the summer, and the Portuguese seems keen to stay too.
We all heard his coy comments after the game where he pointed out how much he liked it at Chelsea and how easily he had fitted in, but we missed his other note after the game, picked up by the Athletic after originally appearing on the club’s 5th Stand App
“I love the atmosphere in the Premier League,” he added.
Now we’re in no doubt he would like to stay, but that’s not guarantee we keep him. We’ve spent crazy money, have plenty more spending to do, and have no deal in place with Atletico. If Man U come in and outbid us this summer, there’s only so much we can do.
If he can help us qualify for the top 4, that will be a big boost to keeping him.
