Borussia Dortmund have just announced that their striker Karim Adeyemi has torn a muscle fibre and will be out for 3 weeks – ruling him out of our second leg Champions League game against him.
Adeyemi was the goalscorer in the first game, and after a slow start he’s really starting to shine for Edin Terzic’s team. For Graham Potter, desperately looking for fillips wherever he can, this has to be a boost.
It’s 1-0 to the Germans after the first leg, and this will be a big blow for them. We saw Adeyemi’s screaming pace as he ran the length of the pitch to score against us last week, and Dortmund would have been looking forward to being able to use that against us on the counter in the return game.
Sadly for us there’s still plenty of quality to come into that team – Marco Reus should be back fit, for one.
