When Roman Abramovich was sanctioned and forced to sell his beloved Chelsea Football Club, it started a dramatic race from potential suitors to buy the club.
It was a weird period for Chelsea and Blues fans, and I think it truly peaked when MMA fighter Conor McGregor announced he would be trying to buy the club!

In the end, it was Todd Boehly and Clearlake who got the club, and they have continued to work fast in investing in the squad and improving things.
Sir Martin Broughton was also one of the bidders and was placed as one who had quite a high chance of landing the club.
He has been speaking this week, in quote relayed below, and the topic of conversation was whether he would have done anything different to the current ownership. As you can see, one of the things he says he wouldn’t have done was sack Thomas Tuchel.
