Raheem Sterling likely to miss Champions League game after sitting out training session

Chelsea have signed so may attacking players in the last month that it’s easy to forget we bought an A list Premier League star in the summer.

Raheem Sterling was supposed to be the big name coming in, but he’s almost forgotten in the face of our monster spend. He’s out injured, which doesn’t help, and looks unlikely to feature in tomorrow night’s game against Dortmund either

The winger “sat out” of training according to Simon Johnson’s piece in The Athletic today, which surely makes an appearance tomorrow night unlikely. He’s been out for some time now, and will need plenty of time to get up to speed.

After appearing as a late sub against Fulham, a kick kept him out of Saturday’s draw with West Ham, meaning he’s not played from the start since January 5th.

The addition of Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke to the squad means we’re not short of options. And in fact, Sterling will face a battle for minutes when he is fit again.
