Romelu Lukaku expected back at Chelsea this summer after disappointing Inter spell

Romelu Lukaku is currently “out of sigh, out of mind” for Chelsea fans, but that can’t last forever.

He’s only on loan at Inter Milan, and this summer it sounds like our £100m transfer mistake is coming right back to haunt us again.

One of the best things this ownership did was shift Lukaku on loan as soon as last summer began – not that it ended up helping much. But reports from Italy picked up by SportWitness show that after an unimpressive return to the continent, he won’t be sticking around.

Inter had previously shown interest in negotiating a permanent deal or at least extending his loan, but apparently they are now “oriented to sending Big Rom back to Chelsea.”

Fitness issues ruined the first half of this season for Lukaku, and since returning to the pitch he’s not been in good form. They claim to have spent €20m on wages and loan fee so far, so one can understand why they wouldn’t be keen to keep the experiment going.
