David Datro Fofana has had a few chances since arriving at Chelsea rather unexpectedly in January, including a start in the EFL Cup against Man City.
But his Premier League chances have been limited to showings off the bench – until now.
We don’t have any inside information, but we reckon he’s going to start today.
We’ve deduced that from a few things – firstly Kai Havertz has played a lot in recent weeks leading the line and needs a break.
Then we also know that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang isn’t in the squad today.
First out. Good sign Ben Chilwell is fit and that Reece James isn't in the squad today #cfc pic.twitter.com/DlwN2AQBap

That leaves Fofana as the only proper striker for Graham Potter to pick. Of course he could play without a 9, but the images we’ve seen of Fofana out on the pitch at Stamford Bridge getting hyped up by his teammates indicates to us that he’s going to get his chance.
We will find out shortly. If he plays, he has a superb chance to earn further minutes with a good showing.
