Blues owner Todd Boehly has recently spoken about it being a goo way to get loan players developed, using the multi-clubs as development opportunities for some players.

Despite know this has been in the pipeline for some time, it looks like Chelsea are wisely taking their time in picking what clubs they want to try and buy, with many different countries being pondered.

Journalist Romain Molina, as cited by Sport Witness, has claimed that the Blues are looking for an ‘affiliate’ club, and in their quest to find a partner, there’s a specific French side who’ve already been offered to them, which is Bordeaux.

“Chelsea are looking for affiliates, primarily in France. They have even been offered Bordeaux,” said Molina (via Web Girondins).

“It is not the only club that has been offered to them (…) Dijon has been approached by another English club.”
