Ben Chilwell showed what Chelsea have been missing going forward in tonight’s game with Borussia Dortmund.
Even though the left back is not fully up to speed having just recently come back from injury, he managed to create 3 chances, more than Marc Cucurella has managed in the last 8 games in all competitions.
Does that show how good Chilwell is going forward or how bad Cucurella has been? In truth, it probably is a mix of both but one thing is for certain, Ben looked far more willing to go the extra mile for Chelsea this evening.
So many times he made overlaps, he also managed to win 2 fouls as part of his regular flurries forward.
Ben was only dribbled past once and overall looked like a more natural fit, which is concerning for Cucurella considering he is the one that played so well under Graham Potter at Brighton.
Marc has to up his game, especially going forward.
