A major slice of the drama for Chelsea on deadline day wasn’t the players they signed – it was the players who didn’t manage to leave.
Chelsea’s focus on getting a deal for Enzo Fernandez done meant a lack of attention to those players going out, and Hakim Ziyech was the highest profile first teamer left high and dry after his move to PSG collapsed at the 11th hour – apparently due to simple admin failings.
The Morocco star is apparently (and understandably) furious.
Potter on Ziyech after his collapsed PSG loan: "He is back in the country and trained this morning. It won't be the first or last time this happens. He is a professional. He will be an important player and is available to face Fulham." #CFC

Speaking in his press conference today, Graham Potter said he had been very happy with how Ziyech trained today, and said he would be available to face Fulham tomorrow.
He might well be picked too – he played well in his last couple of starts, and the new signings are going to take time to bed in, with Joao Felix still suspended after his straight red against tomorrow’s opposition a month ago.
