Three stats that show just how bad Chelsea’s season has got

Another game another loss for Graham Potter’s Chelsea, this time an utterly pathetic 1-0 defeat to managerless, 20th placed Southampton, who came into this game on historically bad run and walk away with a win.

There are some stinking stats piling up now after a defeat. Just look at these.

First up, the result today. A home loss to Southampton to go with our away loss to Southampton. That’s the first time the Saints have done the double over us since 1987-1988. Bear in mind that this is possibly the worst Southampton team in that period too.

Then there’s our goalscoring. We have 23 goals in 23 league games. We’ve not score in 4 of our last 5 at all, leaving us with 3 in our last 9 matches.

What’s the result of not being able to score goals? Not being able to get results. We’ve won 2 games from 15. That’s relegation form, not Champions League form. There are just no excuses for playing that badly for that long, with a squad like this.

  1. Chelsea need to get the hell of potter out of Stamford bridge, and looking for 3 4 3 coach that can lead Chelsea victory land or else we continue same result with this yeye GP

  2. The Chelsea fans should force the owners to get a new manager. If you appoint a manager whose best achievement in the premier league is ninth place you are in real trouble. Brighton and Chelsea are not in the same league. Chelsea have won champions league twice. They have 8 European trophies. They have over 30 trophies. Why would any owners appoint a manager who has never won any trophies. It just shows that the owners are naive. They buy a load of players and think the manager will win matches. I thin the whole situation is totally shambolic
