Two candidates to replace Graham Potter according to well connected journalist

Graham Potter’s job is safe – for now. That’s the main takeaway from Ben Jacobs’ exclusive on Simon Phillip’s Subsstack.

The well connected CBS journalist also says he won’t go into much detail on potential replacements for Pochettino as it’s “speculative and disrespectful.”

He then goes into some detail about the potential replacements for Potter, should the Chelsea boss be sacked. Jacobs says that Chelsea “considered” Mauricio Pochettino before eventually plumping for Potter, which shows he’s on the list.

Meanwhile Sporting Clube de Portugal manager Ruben Amorim is also “appreciated” by Todd Boehly and co, although it should be noted that his Sporting team are really struggling right now, and he’s not looking the hot property he did 12 months ago.

Zinedine Zidane is another name that Jacobs says will be mentioned – although Jacobs suggests that seems more likely as a media link given his profile, rather than anything with real weight behind it.

  1. the xcuses 4 pot is becoming laughable. lets go back to the beginning of the roman empire.mour started with imediate success, and so did all those that followed xcept maybe scolari. they were not afforded the oppertunity to rebuild. so what make the pot sooo special tht he should be offered a rebuild period. maybe some other fan can enlighten me. pleaaaase do

    1. It will be very good to replace the boss as early as possible.
The team had good players, and players have potentials…. They only needs tough trainer to train how to play a solid game, how to attack, not only to pass back. Zidane/Pochetino /Portuguese, all are good coach.
We, the fans are still waiting for a new boss at an earliest please.

      1. Yes because the injuries never happened and 8 new signings were just going to walk in gel and hit the ground running. People ignore he went 9 unbeaten before the injuries kicked in. We were knocked out of both cups by a team Tuchel couldn’t beat last season. A decimated team lost 1-0 to Arsenal who beat us 4-2 at the Bridge last season. In fact it was an improved Arsenal. Was Hoddle a top line manager? Also Vialli and Gullit?

  2. What’s the hell is being done @ Chelsea! we are tired of not seing this very storry we want-“Chelsea have sacked Potter”. Why wasying time?
