Spurs manager Antonio Conte is out of next weekend’s fixture against Chelsea and will not be managing on the touchline for the foreseeable future following a relapse in his recovery from a recent operation.
The former Chelsea title winning manager took to Instagram to explain his foreseeable departure from touchline management.
Spurs fans will undoubtedly be frustrated and also sad however they did manage to beat champions Manchester City without him on the side line.
Graham Potter will hope to build confidence in his Chelsea side with a win against Southampton on Saturday at Stamford Bridge, they then have a whole week’s rest and training to prepare for the Spurs fixture.
It just goes from bad to worse if you are a Spurs fan, they also recently found out that key midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur will miss several months after suffering a horrible ACL injury during a 4-1 defeat to Leicester last weekend.
💬 "Sadly I underestimated the procedure, which wasn't a routine operation. My body has suffered my impatience, and now I am forced to stop until my entire recovery."
