The astonishing list of charges brought against Man City by the Premier League yesterday are still causing ripples across the footballing world, and Kaveh Solhekol has been on Sky today explaining the latest.
He notes that there is not much appetite for amending previous years’ league tables, and that fines just won’t work on a team like City. That means forcing relegation on them might be the only worthwhile punishment, and he claims that the other members of the “big 6” in the Premier League (potentially including Chelsea) are those pushing hardest for that.
