Sky have former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher in their studio every Monday to try and explain some of the weekend’s decisions – but in the case of the penalty not given to Chelsea this week, he just had to admit it was a mistake.
Tomas Soucek went down and handled the ball, and the fact that VAR saw it and still didn’t give it is a mystery.
At this point we’re beyond feeling too bad, it’s just another example of the VAR farce that is continuing to plague the game.
