Given tonight’s result was a 0-0 draw, it was always going to be players individual performances that earned the most praise from Graham Potter rather than the team.
He was asked about Enzo Fernandez and produced some positive noises.
As you’d expect, the Chelsea manager was extremely positive. He noted Enzo was excellent for a player who has only been in the country for two days, and has only had one brief session training with his new teammates.
He added that he expects the Argentine to get better and better – and we agree. This was just the start.
You can see Potter speaking about the midfielder in the clip embedded here:
🗣️ “Really good, considering he’s been in the country not very long. He doesn’t know us, we don’t know him so well but I think you can see flashes of his quality.”

Enzo looked sharp—a good bit sharper that some others in the squad, unfortunately. For a young guy signed on a record fee he sure didn’t look nervy. Very, very encouraging!
