Sir Martin Broughton has a new book out, so of course he’s doing the rounds promoting it all over.
His bid to buy Chelsea last year is of course a major feature, and on TalkSport today they quizzed him over what he would have done differently.
They managed to get him to criticise the Clearlake Capital mega-spend, and he noted “it’s difficult to get the right blend” when you buy so many players at once. He’s not the first person to note that, and we’re sure Todd Boehly and co. would defend themselves pretty strongly too.
