Neymar – who is a bit of a spare part at PSG now as they attempt to cram him into a team with Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe – is the suggested target, and on ESPN they discussed the rumours that there had already been contact between the clubs.

Their conclusion is basically – don’t get too excited about it. It’s something we know the club would have liked to do before – and may well do again – but at the moment there’s no realistic way of making it work.
