Simon Johnson, the Athletic’s Chelsea correspondent, was on TalkSport this morning talking about the rapidly souring atmosphere at Stamford Bridge.
There were boos at full time on Saturday as Chelsea lost again, and Johnson warned “that was just a taste” of how bad it could get if results don’t improve.
Johnson would know – he’s been covering the club for a long time. And while it was boo heavy at full time on Saturday and starting to get nasty, we agree there’s a long way left to fall.
Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.
