Chelsea, especially in the first half against West Ham, were in good form in attack. They moved the back quickly and dangerously – with one exception.
Every time Marc Cucurella got the ball, he passed it backwards. It was infuriating.
We didn’t realise quite how bad it would look when all edited together, but it’s damning. It clearly shows a player utterly devoid of confidence, terrified of any pass which risks interception.
It’s so obvious it makes us feel even worse for him. Let’s hope Ben Chilwell is fit and ready for our game against Dortmund.
