Graham Potter defended Marc Cucurella in today’s press conference amid online criticism from supporters over poor form.
Potter revealed a couple of weeks ago that Marc was going through a bit of a difficult time privately, today, he re iterated the fact that player’s have other stuff going on in their lives away from Chelsea.
“they are human beings, they have stuff going on” and yes, he said “they”, because according to Potter, Cucurella is not the only one dealing with issues off the pitch.
It puts things into context when seeing lacklustre performances, hopefully Marc can reach his top level soon, Potter insisted today they will work with him to achieve that level once again that saw Chelsea invest so heavily in him.
