“Well done” – Pat Nevin picks out Chelsea player who’s had rough spell for praise

After a defeat it is hard to draw on positives, but last night in Dortmund, there actually was many positives for Chelsea, at least many more than usual.

It’s far from doom and gloom, and the steps are being taken and improvements are being seen. Chelsea lost 1-0 on the night and now have a real task to qualify for the next round of The Champions League. But it is only 1-0 at half time, with a whole 90 minutes to come in the second leg.

Chelsea have to have belief, and they should use this game for that, because really, they should have won at least 3-1 on the night with all the clearcut chances they had.

Former Blue Pat Nevin drew another positive, and that was Kalidou Koulibaly having a good game. He’s been through a really rough spell of late, but he was good last night against Dortmund, showing his experience well.

“For all the difficulties he’s had, Koulibaly didn’t put a foot wrong. Well done to Koulibaly,” Nevin said, as quoted by the club’s official YouTube account.
