West Ham’s star striker to return and make Chelsea’s life even more difficult

The excitement over making so many signings is overwhelming – but it won’t take many bad results to evaporate that entirely.

A 0-0 draw with Fulham when you’ve got a quarter of a billion in new signings on the pitch stung a little – losing to West Ham this weekend would be even worse.

The bad news for Graham Potter and his team is that the Hammers expect to have their star striker available for Saturday’s early kick off.

The Evening Standard report that Gianluca Scamacca has “stepped up” his return from injury, and was seen in training today.

The Italy star has been out of action for almost a month, but looks set to return against us. He didn’t play a part at Stamford Bridge back in September when Chelsea earned a pretty fortunate 2-1 win in one of Thomas Tuchel’s final games, but we won’t get away without playing him once this season it seems.
