Chelsea are being linked with increasing regularity to Brighton striker Evan Ferguson.
The towering forward has burst onto the scene in the Premier League this season, impressing for Roberto De Zerbi’s Seagulls in particular after the World Cup break. He scored his first top flight goal on New Year’s Eve and has since scored twice more.
Already an Ireland international, the Brighton youth product is still just 18 but looks 28 on the pitch.
Chelsea have spent insane amounts of money in the last 12 months, but the links to new strikers won’t stop until we find one who can finally take up the Drogba-Costa mantle and start scoring for us every week.
The Sun are now linking us and Tottenham, who are reportedly looking for a long term replacement for Harry Kane. It remains to be seen whether our dealings with Brighton this year help or hurt our relations long term.
