Pundit picks out one Chelsea player who was ‘so poor’ against Everton

Chelsea drew 2-2 with Everton on Saturday evening, ending a run of wins.

Graham Potter’s team have been really up and down since the former Brighton boss took charge, and things had started to look up again. There will always be bumps in the road of course, but Chelsea will be, ans should be, hugely frustrated that they twice threw away a lead in the game and ended up only taking one point at home to a relegation struggling team.

Questions will rightly be asked, and one of those questions will be asked about goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was poor in the game and gifted Everton their second equaliser.

Former Liverpool player turned pundit Jamie Redknapp singled Kepa out as being poor in the game, in words picked up by The Chelsea Chronicle.

He said: “The keeper is so poor [for the Simms goal]. He doesn’t make nearly enough saves… The keeper should do better.”

And unfortunately, he is not wrong at all here. Kepa has not been consistent enough at all for Chelsea.
