Football London tonight have an exclusive report which claims that AC Milan are in contact with Chelsea over a move for Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The Italian side have been linked repeatedly with the Blues’ academy product over the years, but haven’t been able to stump up the cash for a move. They’ve had great success with another Chelsea academy man in the form of Fikayo Tomori, and it seems they’re interested in repeating the trick.
With Loftus-Cheek coming to the final year of his contract, the balance might shift in Milan’s favour financially. Their run to the Champions League semi final (and potentially even further) should also generate a little extra spending money for the reigning Italian champions too.
He’s an excellent squad option for us and a classy player, and we would be very reluctant to let him go. But the financial realities of our insane year of spending will have to be settled eventually.

Terrible shame for a home grown player to be sold but he has never really been the same since his major injury and I would rather he went than Mount or Gallagher.
