Frank Lampard started today’s press conference with an injury update, and revealed some bad news about Kalidou Koulibaly.
The central defender left the game on Tuesday holding his hamstring, but it didn’t look too severe, and he took his place on the bench rather than going for treatment, which seemed positive.
However, it turns out things are worse than expected. Lampard revealed that not only would the central defender miss this weekend’s game against Brighton, but that he would also miss the return game against Real Madrid. He said it would be a matter of “weeks rather than days.”

Marc Cucurella will be needed at left back with Ben Chilwell out, so that really leaves us a little short in the middle, with Badiashile sitting in the stands.
