Chelsea are well and truly going into tomorrow’s Champions League quarter finals game against Real Madrid as the firm underdogs.
The club have been through a hugely dramatic and turmoil time this season and having now just appointed their third manager of the season and going through terrible form on the pitch, there are very few who believe they can go through against Real Madrid tomorrow night.
However, CBS insider Ben Jacobs believes they have a chance of pulling off an upset in this tie, writing in his exclusive and extensive Chelsea column for Si & Dan Talk Chelsea this week.

Jacobs believes that if Chelsea somehow manage to go to Madrid and stay in the game, keeping the scoreline to a respectful level, then they have a chance of pulling off a shock win across the two legs going back to Stamford Bridge for the second one.
Jacobs said: “An away trip to Real on Wednesday is obviously daunting, but also exciting. If Chelsea can stay in the tie, and not get blown away like Liverpool did in the last 16, they can pull off an upset.
“Talking to fans, I sense an air of resignation. Most believe Chelsea will be outclassed and go out, plus end up finishing outside of a European place in the Premier League. But I think that’s where the Frank Lampard factor could change the narrative. If Chelsea can get going under him, and most importantly finally start taking their chances, they just might surprise a few people between now and the end of the season.”
