Chelsea have Joao Felix on loan, and so far there doesn’t seem like a huge appetite to pay the vast sum to Atletico Madrid to make that move permanent.
But an article in the Daily Mail today suggests that the club do like him, and Mauricio Pochettino is a fan too. Apparently rather than an outright buy, a second loan could be arranged. They even suggest that Felix would team up with… Romelu Lukaku to lead the line.
At times in the last few months it has actually felt like Felix has played his way out of a future at Chelsea. If you’d asked fans after his debut against Fulham (red card aside), 90% would have said yes, bring this little magician in.
Now, after 4 months of seeing him in action, that number would be a lot lower. He’s all style no substance, just as we were warned. A second loan seems like a nice solution.
