Rumours were swirling last night that Chelsea are interesting in appointing Paul Mitchell to help with their transfer business this summer.
Currently working at Monaco, Mitchell previously worked with Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs and Southampton, which is potentially behind a lot of these whispers. There he not only helped uncover young talents, he also headed up very successful transfer business like bringing Son Heung-Min to Tottenham.
He has since gained even more experience and build up more contacts working in France, as well as before that with the Red Bull group in Leipzig.

Mitchell was linked with a role at Chelsea for a long time last year as the new ownership put together a recruitment team, but nothing came of it.
Adding him to that group now seems excessive, but we can certainly see him being consulted this summer as part of the vast squad overhaul necessary at Stamford Bridge.
