Asked ahead of tonight’s game about the team he was going to pick, interim Chelsea coach Bruno Saltor noted that something important to him was “player who are able to deal with this pressure.”
Certainly the new signings in the team have looked out of their depth at times – but then again so have some of the established players.
It’s a nice idea, and one that’s hard to disagree with. However it will usually mean picking older, more experienced players, and the expense of youngsters and new signings.
That is not something we expect to go down well with a lot of the fanbase.

There’s a lot for Bruno to play for this season, but a lot of supporters would rather see some of the Cobham kids – or some of the flashy signings like Mykhkailo Mudryk – rather than the same old faces we’ve seen plenty of – and are likely to leave in the summer.
