Chelsea owner asks players why they aren’t living up to their transfer fees and reputations

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has got involved to try and motivate the players after an abysmal run of form this season.

It’s been nothing short of a disastrous first season for the new Chelsea owners, at least in terms of results on the pitch.

The club have also now hired four different managers in one season, if you include Bruno Salter who took charge for one game after Graham Potter was sacked. And to add to that, there will be a 5th manager in charge come the end of the season as well when Frank Lampard’s caretaker stint is up.

After losing yet another match at home to Brighton on Saturday, the Chelsea owners took it upon themselves to enter the players dressing room and offer up some firm words.

According to The Times, Todd Boehly asked the players why they were not performing to the standard their transfer fees and reputations suggested they should be capable of.
