Chelsea are preparing fresh terms as they put together a new contract offer that they hope might be enough to convince one player to sign on and extend.
We’ve all been reading a lot and hearing a lot about the future of Mason Mount in recent weeks and months, with his Chelsea future now very uncertain. His contract runs out in the summer of 2024, and Chelsea want to either get him extended this summer or sold. They do not want to risk losing Mount on a free transfer at the end of next season.
The two parties have stopped talks for now, but Chelsea are preparing fresh new terms that they believe should get closer to what Mount is looking for.
That is according to sources at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, who say that the new offer is expected to be new offer that is ‘similar to Ben Chilwell’s extension.’
