Chelsea lost to Wolves in yesterday’s game, a really poor result from a poor performance.
But who were the Blues’ best and worst performers, according to the WhoScored stats?
According to the numbers, Chelsea’s worst player was Raheem Sterling, who got a 6.0 rating. That matches with the eye test. Sterling barely ever got the ball, couldn’t hold on to it when he did get it, and looked sluggish and disconnected from the play. He didn’t even have his usual energy to get around and press the opposition.
The best rated player was Kalidou Koulibaly who had a 7.7. He made some important interventions and kept Diego Costa and Matheus Cunha quiet. For once, he actually looked comfortable in a back 4.
It’s really not a great sign when your defenders are your stars against a team who should be 10-15 places below you in the table going by size of wage budget alone.

The sooner Chelsea get rid of the under achievers the better the club will proceed forward,I do not understand how these so called super stars get picked.I think it’s a case that the manager thinks these under achievers will eventually have a good game but by picking them every game that’s why Chelsea are in this position.
