Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Brighton’s breakout young striker Evan Ferguson is set to be rewarded for a superb season with a huge new contract to tie him to the club.
The 18 year old looks like he could be the Premier League’s new hot property after starring ever since Roberto de Zerbi replaced Graham Potter back in September.
An agreement is “imminent” according to Romano, as the Seagulls look to capitalise on their superb campaign and guarantee of European football next season. Ferguson will surely get a move to a top club one day, but for now we can see why he would want to keep playing every week where he is thriving.

To be clear, we hadn’t heard any convincing rumours about any specific Chelsea interest in Ferguson, we’ve just seen his impact this season and have been mightily impressed by his skills and physical ability.
He looked like the perfect young number 9 to bring in, but unfortunately this new deal will make him as expensive as any other premier option.
