Five Chelsea players confirmed as being ‘very much on the market’ this summer

As we know and have been hearing for many weeks now, Chelsea will be having somewhat of a summer clear out in the transfer window this summer.

They need to sell players for two main reasons. One being that they have a huge squad and need to trim it down, and two is the fact they need to balance profit margins for FFP purposes.

There are a number of players we have been hearing speculation about recently, but insider Ben Jacobs has confirmed that there are at least five players he knows to be on the market at Chelsea this summer, and there could well be more than this as well.

Jacobs has been speaking in his latest exclusive and extensive Chelsea column for Si & Dan Talk Chelsea today.

Most of these names will come as no surprise of course, but it also points to just how busy Chelsea will be this summer!

Jacobs said: “Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Conor Gallagher, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech are others very much on the market. Gallagher can command a pretty useful fee, and Chelsea want Ziyech’s high wages off their books.

“Meanwhile, the priority for incomings remains another midfielder and a prolific striker. And the new manager will have to assess the goalkeeper situation as well.”
