Chelsea are struggling big time right now, and one former player, manager and now pundit believes that they should make yet another manager change right now and not wait any longer.
The Blues lost yet another game yesterday going down 2-1 at home to Brighton, and it sums up just what a precarious and disastrous situation the club are in right now.
Three managers in one season, £600m spent on players who are not doing the job with some not even playing, and could still mathematically be relegated from the Premier League. What an absolute nightmare first season for the new owners of the club.
Former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood believes that Chelsea should go and get Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi in right now.
“That man in your picture there [de Zerbi], I don’t know what Chelsea are waiting for,” HITC quote him as saying on Premier League Productions.
“They need a manager, just go and get him. I don’t want to sell Brighton’s manager again. The only reason why Chelsea might not go for him is that Graham Potter has let them down.
“But this guy is the real deal. He is the real deal manager. They got £21 million for the other manager and he wasn’t any good.”
I don’t think it would be very easy at all to get de Zerbi from Brighton at this point in the season, but perhaps they might try in the summer. Not sure how Chelsea fans would react to getting another Brighton manager though!
