Frank Lampard was announced as the Chelsea caretaker manager until the end of the season last night, taking over from Bruno Salter, who had the role for one game, and then obviously Graham Potter, who was sacked by the club on Sunday.
It’s all happened very fast in what has been a rollercoaster week at the club, nothing short of crazy.

Lampard is now back in the same hot seat that he got sacked from by the former owners, and he sat down yesterday to take his first press conference back at his beloved club, before taking hist first training session back at the familiar surroundings of Cobham.
Lampard spoke very well as he always does, and the embargoed section of his press conference has now been released across various platforms.
As cited by Football London, Lampard was asked whether he would also be a n advisor to the Chelsea board.
He said: “If the owners, people that work here, decision makers, medical, kit men and anybody wants to speak to me about anything, my job here is to try and affect it in a positive way,” he added. “If I have knowledge before, great. But this club wants to move forward so it’s a case of how can we get better?
“I will be absolutely happy to have all those conversations. But I don’t know what they are now. My first priority is trying to get results on the pitch. That is primarily why I am here in this moment. I would obviously be happy to have lots of those conversations.”
